Special Update - Newsreader Demo

A number of weeks ago, I applied to TFM for the position of Newsreader and, last week, they got back to me to ask if I could submit a demo for them to have a listen to...

So, yesterday I recorded a short demo of me reading the news, which can heard if you go here: http://www.solsbury-hill.co.uk/news.mp3

Now - since this is a demo for a Teesside based radio station, I had to slant the news for the North East. Consequently, there will be many people out there who have no idea what a Parmo is. And I say to those people, rejoice! However, if you are a brave soul and would like to know more about this particular delicacy, then you can go here to find out about the wonders of Teesside cuisine. But please remember that I did warn you...

Hiya. If you don't get the job then there's no justice in the world. I, hopefully, have work for which I'm suitably qualified starting in November but I'll keep an eye on you. The Brummie accent..? From Birmingham to Liverpool in under 20 second :o)

Despite living in the Black Country between the ages of 4 and 21, I failed to pick up any real trace of it in my accent :-)
